Custom Linking ServicesFor sites in industries for which we do not have existing linking data, we offer customized linking services. Linking involves two distinct functions. The first is compiling a database of link prospects, and the second is building and managing the actual links pages. Compiling a master database In order to link sites effectively, we must start with a master database of link prospects. This data is compiled from a wide range of sources and not just from a couple of directories or some of the so-called "keyword spiders". We have much better targeting methods than that! This raw data is then reorganized, scrubbed of dead links and duplicates, and prepared for "surfing". Surfing is the process of visiting each site in the master database to determine if they have a links page, and if they publicly accept new link submissions. We have teams of trained "surfers" who do this work and log the appropriate linking data into the master database. In addition, by using specialized tools, we can determine the most popular link partners, and focus on them first. Building links pages Once we have the data about link prospects, then we can begin to build your links pages and ask for links back from other sites. This is what we call our Implementation process.
